Common Uses of Ultrasonography: Pregnancy: To monitor the development of the fetus, check the position, and estimate due dates. Abdominal imaging: To assess organs like the liver, kidneys, and gallbladder. Cardiac imaging (echocardiogram): To examine heart function and structures. Musculoskeletal system: To check muscles, tendons, and joints for injuries. Guiding procedures: For precise needle placement, such as in biopsies or injections. Ultrasonography is safe and widely used because it doesn't involve radiation, unlike X-rays or CT scans.
